A new housing development in Ashland, NE – Sandy Pointe Lake Development – needed a functional and aesthetic bridge to cross the channel that connected to the lake. Hawkins Construction was hired to construct a precast concrete arch with cast-in-place concrete footings and wingwalls.
They don’t call it Sandy Pointe for nothing. All of the soils in this project were actually sand – adding layer of complexity to the project. Hawkins worked to satisfy the Owner’s needs during the construction process, and successfully executed this 81-day project under budget and on schedule.
