Highway 75 from Plattsmouth to Murray is a project with the Nebraska Department of Transportation to widen 7 miles of the existing US 75 into a four-lane expressway.
After three decades of planning, the project was let in November of 2020, with Hawkins Construction as the successful low bidder. Work began in July of 2021, and has overcome several challenges including numerous underground utilities which needed to be relocated, labor shortages, and a global supply chain disruption.
The project is currently 75% complete, with a scheduled completion date of July 2024.

6,000 tons of lime mixed into subgrade for stabilization.
3-span, 450-foot-long bridge over Union Pacific tracks.
