SUSTAINABLE DESIGN/LEED™
Hawkins
Construction is a member of the United
States Green Building Council. The LEED (Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ is
a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance,
sustainable buildings.
LEED
provides a complete framework for assessing building performance
and meeting sustainability goals. Based on well-founded scientific
standards, LEED emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable
site development, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials
selection, indoor environmental quality and innovative design.
Regardless
of whether a project seeks LEED certification or is just using the
LEED Rating System® as a guide, Hawkins Construction brings
the skills and experience necessary to achieve our clients’
goals for sustainable, high-performing buildings.
Hawkins
Construction is prepared to assist clients who want to construct
sustainable projects. Our on-staff LEED Accredited Professionals
are available to support clients and design firms during the design
phase and oversee sustainable construction elements during construction.
Our
goal as a company is to incorporate sustainable construction practices
into each project while maintaining an awareness of the needs, desires
and available resources of our clients. By fully understanding the
client’s immediate needs and long-term goals, we strive to
work with the entire project team to strike a balance between project
costs and environmental impact.
