Newport Landing at Bennington Lake

Description: Bennington Lake, conceived during the late 1990s, has produced significant flood control and public recreational benefits while offering 280 lots for lakeside living. This project is a one-square-mile lake consisting of residential development and flood control just west of Bennington, NE. Hawkins Construction constructed two 103 foot single-span bridges with colored concrete and mechanically stabilized earth wall abutments along with the construction of 7.5 miles of sheet pile seawall, storm water drainage outlets structures and riprap bank protection.
